Job Description

 

As an Loss Mitigation Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Written and verbal correspondence with various departments within the company, as well as, several external vendors, public agencies, and corporations
  • Working knowledge of federal and state collection regulations that pertain to first party debt collections, and feel comfortable navigating the current compliance environment
  • Utilizing Skip Trace tools
  • Ability to service high risk; pre and post charge off accounts
  • Building relationships with clients and repossession agents alike
  • Written and verbal correspondence with various departments within the company as well as several external vendors, public agencies and corporations

Qualifications

  • Effective oral and written communication are vital to the position
  • Demonstrated track record of collateral recovery as well as delinquency reduction
  • Must be able to produce results working in a semi-autonomous environment
  • Intermediate computer skills are necessary to be successful in the position
  • Ability to multi-task or navigate between multiple applications
  • Experience with Excel is a plus
  • Detail oriented
  • Organized
  • The ability to execute in a timely manner
  • Flexible/Extended Hours required
  • High School diploma or equivalent and on-the-job training
  • 5+ years of collections experience
