Holman Automotive Group has an outstanding opportunity for a HR Manager to join the Holman Family!  This role is located in San Diego, CA and will support the Audi, Porsche, and Land Rover of San Diego locations.

What will you do?

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all HR activities in the dealerships in his/her region by working directly with the regional VP of Human Resources and dealership General Managers and senior leadership.

The position requires an individual with excellent written and oral communication skills, training skills and knowledge of the various state and federal employment and labor relations laws. 

The position requires the ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with the General Managers, the Controllers, and management teams while fostering good relationships with dealership employees.

The job also requires good judgment: the ability to assess, apply and adapt policies and practices to the circumstances of the situation while maintaining consistency with the corporate philosophy and limiting risk.   The individual must be solution minded and self-motived with the ability to work effectively under pressure while having a sense of urgency to meet numerous deadlines.

What are we looking for?

  • 5 years of experience in human resource management, with at least 2-3 years of experience in employee relations and talent development


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related field (or equivalent related work experience) required; PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; must also be good listener
  • Experience within the automotive or retail industries strongly preferred
  • An understanding of federal, CA state and local employment laws required
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, communication, analytical and time management skills
  • High degree of responsibility and ownership of assignments
  • Multi-lingual skills highly desirable
  • Business acumen, effective relationship building and collaboration abilities
