The Sales Manager is responsible for managing our customer service call center to ensure a high-level of customer service is consistently being delivered to our clients. The Sales Manager proactively leads all customer service aspects and coordinates efforts with other departments within the company. This position will also have a very active role in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders internal and external.

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages all customer support functions to ensure customer requests, questions, and complaints are properly addressed.
  • Determines best use of customer department resources.
  • Assists in creating the customer support annual budget
  • Monitors call volumes and metrics of customer service staff
  • Properly staffs the call center to handle call volumes and maintain a high level of customer service while managing the cost to the business
  • Monitors the quality of phone calls and customer service provided to our customers; provides feedback and recommendations to executive leadership on future improvements
  • Act as point of contact for any escalated customer concern
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and articulation of strategic priorities.
  • Assist in the field management of the fleet sales team
  • Meet with and maintain relationships with OE partners
  • Develop relationships with fleet customers, key dealers, and suppliers
  • Deliver high level presentations to customers either with VP Sales, field sales personnel or independentl
  • Identifies new sales and marketing opportunities
  • Participate in industry conferences, shows, and company events to maximize exposure and return on investment.
  • Other tasks and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Directly supervise the Assistant Customer Support Manager, Parts Analyst and Warranty Supervisor and oversees the performance of the inside sales team.
  • Act upon performance information provided, coaching and guiding staff members to improve knowledge and skill where required.
  • High functioning ability in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.
  • Functional knowledge of customer relationship database or software and call center programs/software.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to analyze information, problem solve, and draw logical conclusions and find solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
