    Position Title: New Business Development Representative
    Department: Sales Support
    Reports to: Manager of Business Development

     

    Principal Purpose of Position:

    • Developing new business accounts and leads for transfer to the District Sales Managers, through the use of prospecting, cold calling and targeted email communications to potential clients
    • Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches or digital resources as well as qualifying leads obtained from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc
    • Assist Business Development Representatives with daily responsibilities, providing coaching and feedback, or providing assistance overcoming objections
    • Collaborate with assigned VP of Sales to provide tracking and reporting (scheduled and ad hoc) on performance and sales metrics
    • Facilitate webcast for Safety, Telematics, ARI Insights, and other ARI services
    • Maintaining database (Salesforce /Marketo/Linkedin Sales Navigator) of prospective and client information
    • Attending trade shows and other industry-related events
    • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

    Education and/or Training:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

    Relevant Work Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, business development, or account management
    • Demonstrated ability to master ARI’s Sales methodology and messaging and ability to align approach, coaching, and efforts therein
    • Maintains awareness of trends in the fleet industry as well as new products, services, and technologies at ARI
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suites

    Planning/Organizing/Managerial Knowledge:

    • Strong leadership aptitude required, prior leadership experience preferred
    • Must have strong organizational skills and be flexible; able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within time constraints
    • Persuasive, self-motivated and self-directed with ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

    Communicating & Influencing Skills:

    • Superior social and situational awareness, business acumen, and presentation skills required
    • Must demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, assertiveness, and ability to communicate with all levels of management and clients
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with sound judgment and discretion
    • Tenacity to handle rejection and continue on with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client
    • Understanding company/client needs and offer solutions and support
